Phase 7 - After the trade fair

When your trade fair abroad is over, the final phase of your project begins - the follow-up work. This also includes a precise compilation, a review of all costs and answers to these questions:

  • Do the actual costs incurred differ from your cost estimate and, if so, why?
  • Are savings possible?
  • Were savings made in the wrong place?
  • Are there alternatives to be present on the market and, if so, at what cost?

With the AUMA Trade Fair Benefit Check you can reliably calculate the cost-benefit ratio.

Consolidate new contacts

The same follow-up work applies for your foreign trade fair as for a domestic participation:

  • Confirm orders
  • honour commitments
  • Answer customer enquiries
  • Write to interested parties
  • Press release

Have you achieved your trade fair goals?

You can only judge whether you have achieved your goals if you set specific and realistic targets at the start of your international trade fair project. This also includes the number of customer contacts you make. Here too, the Trade Fair Benefit Check is an instrument for reliably monitoring success.

Analysing results

Your daily trade fair report is a good basis for an overall assessment of your trade fair participation abroad. Your final report should contain information on

  • Suitability of the country for your own products
  • Analysis of your company's strengths and weaknesses
  • Evaluation of the trade fair
  • Recommendation as to whether further participation should be planned
